Western Russet "Russ" is the first cria out of our co-owned herdsire, Yukon Gold. From the moment he was born, we knew that he was something special!

At 9 months of age, our suspicions were confirmed. Russ won RESERVE CHAMPION in his first show appearance in Quebec.

Judge Kevin O'Leary described his fleece as "exquisite, magnificent and extremely fine" and commented that he is very well grown and correct in his conformation.

He has continued to perform well in the show ring winning a FIRST in his class at Rockton as well as the COLOUR CHAMPIONSHIP (combined male/female). Judge Cathy Merkley described his fleece as having an "exquisitely soft handle."

Russ has finished the 2023 season strong winning FIRST PLACE at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. Unfortunately there were not enough brown animals for a colour championship, but the judge named him as one of the top 3 contenders for the supreme champion!!!
